color: #000;">During the Grant-making Training that took place from 10-12 April in Saldanha Bay which is approximately one hour's drive from Cape Town, a total of 45 young grant-makers came together to learn more about the “YouthBank Way” and to leave with their fundraising targets as well as their thematic focuses for the year.</p>

Starting in 2013, the first YouthBank pilot project was started with 15 young people in a local municipality. The pilot proved to be highly successful and YouthBank managed to make its first small grants to six Community Based Organizations (CBO’s) focusing on Early Childhood Development Centers. Forward two years to 2015 and we now have three YouthBank groups in three different municipal areas in the West Coast. </p><p>During the Grant-making Training that took place from 10-12 April in Saldanha Bay which is approximately one hour's drive from Cape Town, a total of 45 young grant-makers came together to learn more about the “YouthBank Way” and to leave with their fundraising targets as well as their thematic focuses for the year. </p><p><img src="/uploads/557feb3e833aa.JPG" style="width: 327px;"> <img src="http://beacon.by/uploads/557febc3f40f6.JPG" style="width: 324px;"></p><p>The Grant-making Training was also used to test YouthBank Toolkit that was recently developed by YouthBank International (YBI).
