Something contemporary and fresh. Something that will appeal to teenagers, to youth workers and to potential investors. That is a pretty mammoth task to roll into the design and re brand of YouthBank Ireland. Yet not too big of a challenge for the talented Fiona Duffy & Nicole Treanor from Irish International creative agency who gave up their own time and expertise to come up the concept behind our brand new logo.

On consultation with grant makers from the YouthBank Ireland network Fiona designed our new logo to signify: raising expectations, helping each other, sharing success and working together. The icon within the word YouthBank is easily identifiable as exclusively Ireland’s take on YouthBank and portrays “UPLIFT”. Uplifting and empowering young people to become young leaders in their communities. So you can say YouthBank Ireland has undergone“uplift” rather than a facelift! We carried out a survey with our YouthBanks to measure their reaction to the new design. 100% were happy with the logo and design. With the seal of approval amoung the toughest critics… our grant makers, we were able to proceed with creating new publications, flyers, pull ups and banners to profile YouthBank.

To compliment the logo and add fresh images to our new publications we carried out a photo shoot with grant makers. It was an amazing experience for them to have access to the creative room with Irish International and their own photographer. They were treated like celebrities for a day!

What next….. It was identified by our local co-ordinators in this year’s annual reports that it is often difficult to describe to people brand new to YouthBank what exactly the programme entails! Especially when it comes to seeking new membership, making a pitch to local donors and fundraising. With the digital age hurdling along at an overwhelming pace it seems that it is more productive to capture our messages in 2-3 mins of audio visual. With all our new PR experiences and skills our next mission is to create a 3 minute clip describing “What is YouthBank”. We look forward to sharing this in the coming months to the wider YouthBank International Network.

We love our new design and we hope you do too!

YouthBank Ireland is supported and managed by the Irish Youth Foundation

Web: www.youthbank.org

Follow us on Twitter

Be friends with us on Facebook
