As wonderful and exciting as this is, it only represents a tiny proportion of the thousands of volunteers and beneficiaries from different parts of the world who have gifted their time, energy and skills to their local YouthBanks. To say that time has just flown by in the last few months is an understatement as we work towards firming up some concrete ideas into a working reality.

New joining process
At the last Board Meeting in Istanbul, we have discussed what practices and words can help those interested in setting up new YouthBank networks and existing networks that are seeking to adapt and change. Although the YouthBank International Network aims to serve many different YouthBank interests, ranging from strategic partners and stakeholders to individual YouthBanks, network membership will focus on YouthBank host organisations that have a role of coordinating at sub-national or national level. To explain our more streamined joining process, we are making a new info graphic available and will update our website shortly with more details .

New Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
A new MoU to all existing YouthBank networks will be circulated next week which I know has been a long time coming. The MoU will serve as an agreement for cooperation between member organizations of the YouthBank International Network and replaces the previous memorandum which was a temporary arrangement until the legalities and formal terms of the organization were established.

YBI seeks to increase the range and frequency of contact between and within YouthBank networks as a practical way of demonstrating sharing of knowledge, skills and interests.

The members’ area on our website
Our website is dedicated to providing our members with a space to learn and share. For those who represent host organizations that have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the website's member-only section will be available shortly to allow you to share thoughts and information online with other members, receive updates specifically targeted at country network organizations and access support materials.

We need you!
As you can see from reading our e-magazine, the contents are provided nearly entirely by our members. Simply, we cannot publish a magazine without you. So please send us articles, photos (with captions) and videos that reflect your life and interests as a YouthBank member.

Please send your contributions to vernon@youthbankinternational.org

I’m looking forward to reading you and wishing you a great spring!
