These trees have since been transformed into ornately carved wooden doors, depicting different scenes, references and symbols from each episode. The doors which will hang in restaurants and other tourist venues across Northern Ireland, near filming locations will be unveiled one at a time after each episode is aired meaning a total of 10 doors will be hung.

Our very own Percy French has received one of these magnificent doors and it can be found hanging in the entrance to the restaurant depicting scenes from Season 6, Episode 3: Oathbreaker. Sporting the Greyjoy's Kracken, the 3-eyed raven and Rickon Stark's Direwolf it is a sight to behold. The Slieve Donard is only a few minutes from Tollymore Forest Park - the setting for the Haunted Forest and also where the Starks first found their Direwolves in Season 1.

Why not come along to the Percy French for lunch some day to see the door before venturing into Westeros and enjoy a Game of Thrones Tomahawk steak served with Valyrian steel cutlery? Keep an eye out the Tourism Ireland website and social media for the location of the other doors and maybe you will see one at another Hastings venue in the near future!
