<h1>Stormont Hotel Celebrates 50 Years</h1>

<p>The Stormont Hotel began life as
a private home, owned by Stanley McMaster who was MP for East Belfast between
1959 and 1979. Since Hastings Hotels
took over in 1966, the then ten bedroom house has grown into a luxurious 105
bedroom, 4 star hotel, with modern conference and exhibition spaces, delicious
restaurants, sleek modern bars and a fabulous Ballroom for weddings and
grand events, all with ample complimentary car parking.</p><p>To celebrate five decades in
business and also to showcase the recently refurbished Confex Business Centre
and hotel bar and foyer area, the Stormont Hotel recently hosted a special
gourmet wine evening, with an exquisite dinner prepared by Executive Head Chef,
Jay Eisenstadt. The cleverly themed menu reflected the varying trends and
tastes in food over the last fifty years with dishes that were synonymous with
each decade, beautifully presented using delicious local produce. </p><p>Wines, supplied by Woodford
Bourne, were paired with each course and fully explained by wine expert, Denis
Broderick. </p><p>General Manager of the hotel,
Jonathan Topping commented: </p><h4> “We are
thrilled to showcase our recent investments at the Stormont Hotel. These developments will allow the hotel to confidently
compete in what is a highly challenging and continually evolving hotel
marketplace and we hope that our customers and guests will enjoy and benefit
