<p>Soooooo, *twiddles thumbs* Dolittle are delighted to welcome back Cymbals to our hoooouse on Friday, 7 February. Cymbals blew us away when they played the ours back in 2013, and now with their new album ‘The Age of Fracture’ due out on January 27th they are secretly preparing to blow the bleedin’ doors off! They are awesome and you should be here. (Doors 8pm / €12)</p><p>Saturday, 8 February sees the amazing To Kill A King, acclaimed London-­‐based five-­‐piece. This gang have been touring with the likes of Bastille and The Flaming Lips and have played at The Great Escape, Dot to Dot, Reading & Leeds, Bestival and Leefest (to name a few!) Come on down yo (Doors 8pm / €8)</p><p>Next up, we’ve got a band who have been hailed as THE most exciting band to come out of Japan in the last decade. LITE are a four-piece instrumental rock band formed in Japan in 2003. They are known for their thrilling and emotional compositions, progressive, edgy riffs and complex rhythms. A little glance at youtube will show you what these guys have got. We can’t recommend their show highly enough. With special guests The Physics House Band added to the bill, it’s one to put in your diary. (Doors 8pm / €12)</p><p>On Thursday, 13 February we’ll be welcoming Teengirl Fantasy, whose airy synths, offset by sparse hard-edged percussion will make for a electronic dance music party for your ears. Rather than relying on triggering loops, or quantization, Teengirl Fantasy’s music has always been performed and composed live, so every show is different. With support by Adultrock, get thee there! (Doors 8pm / €12)</p><p>The amazing Elaine Mai launches her EP at our gaff on Saturday, 15 February. (Doors 8pm / €8) Then on Wednesday, 19 February we’ll be saying a big HOWYA to Dar Williams. Find out why The Wall Street Journal said, ‘Ms. Williams has been a leading figure in the folk-rock world for nearly 20 years,’ and Rolling Stone said Williams remains both ‘ambitious and pleasingly plainspoken.’ Special guests on the night is Malojian. (Doors 8pm / €12)</p><p>Polish street rap and hip hop group Slums Attack lead by the mighty Peja will be getting ready to tear the roof off Poznań style! Friday, 21 February. TAK! (Doors 8pm / €21)</p><p>Next up for ya it’s BB&C, a collaboration between three international jazz pioneers. It’s an explosive three-headed monster featuring New York City alto saxophonist Tim Berne, downtown drummer Jim Black and the ever-exploring Nels Cline (of Wilco) on guitar. Hit us up on Saturday, 22 February to catch this show! (Doors 8pm / €22)</p><p>Aiken Promotions bring Highland troubadour Rachel Sermanni to us on Wednesday, 26 February. She’s supported Mumford & Sons, Michael Kiwanuka and Elvis Costello, winning over audiences with her range of captivating ballads. (Doors 8pm / €15)</p><p>We’ve got a goodie here to polish off February! On Friday, 28 February, psych, garage, lo-fi, prog purveyors Crystal Antlers are going to show you why they are one of the most DIY/punk rock bands around. ‘It’s hard not to admire these out-there dudes’ NME. We agree. (Doors 8pm / €15)</p><p>FIND ME IN DA CLUB!</p><p>Don’t forget that there is ALWAYS something deadly happening at ours. Our DJs spin until the wee hours 7 nights a week – all for FREE (except SOMEWHERE? free before 11pm and €5 after 11). Mondays feature chilled alternative goodies. Tuesdays expect to hear classic rock anthems. Wednesdays is SOMEWHERE? 2 floors of tunes (indie on one floor and hip-hop and house on the other. €4 cocktails and pints. We wanna blow our own trumpet here, SOMEWHERE was just voted Best Cubnight in Ireland in this year’s Nialler 9 Reader’s poll. YESSSSSS. We’ve got funk, soul, disco, nu-disco and house on Thursdays. Friday nights we change it up each week, but guarantee well-known names from the music scene spinning tunes for y’all. Saturday nights in the Main Room we’ve The Residents on rotation playing indie anthems from the spanking new to balls out classic. If belting out some numbers and having the craic is right up your alley, we’ve got The Workman’s Club Karaoke Club plus lots of 80s and 90s guilty pleasures on Sundays. Day of rest? Pfffffffffffff.</p>
