Do lukewarm cocktail sausages, DJ Dominic’s country and western set and three hour debates about veils give you the fear? Is your other half dreading a whole day spent at wedding fairs looking at endless white tiered cakes and heart shaped wedding frames? If you have answered yes to any of the above, then we’ve got an excellent and painless alternative for you!</p><p>On Sunday, 23rd February, The Clarence Hotel and Cleaver East will be hosting the LOVEBOX WEDDING FESTIVAL. We’ve put together a one-stop shop for people who think like us – less tack, more craic. We’ve brought together an eclectic bunch of exhibitors who want to show you their wares. Each one will be on hand to chat to you about all things wedding and we’ll be showcasing our gorgeous Clarence Suite, a fabulous space in the heart of Dublin city, that can be adapted in many different ways to suit your big day. We’re kicking off at 1pm and running ‘til 5pm.</p><p>ALL THINGS TABLE</p><p>Cleaver East cater all weddings at The Clarence and Michelin star chef Oliver Dunne will be on hand throughout the day. This is a very unique opportunity to talk food with one of Ireland’s premier chefs, who can help you design your ultimate wedding feast. Beef or salmon be gone! We’ll be displaying table art by Wow Weddings. These guys really know how to make a table sing! Floral Events are going to showcase their flower flair – centrepieces, bouquets, you name it and they’ll design to your personal taste.</p><p>Let them eat cake! One of Ireland’s most delicious and exciting companies, Creative Cakes, will have their portfolio of delectable sweet creations on hand and will be available for cakey-based consultation. Stationary company The Parlour Press, whose motto is ‘for the wedding less ordinary’ have loads of gorgeous designs. Come chat to them and take the stress out of the 12 million cards and place-names and invites and thank you cards and….you get the idea. For luxurious and thoughtful hampers on the day for MOBs, MOGs and all those special folks in between, we have Floribelle. They handpick beautiful products to suit your needs and each hamper has a sweet flower arrangement to top it all off. Keep everyone happy and smiling!</p><p>THE SNAPPER</p><p>You’ll need a photographer too! Martin O’Leary from The Picture Rooms has a great eye for shots and flair for all things fashion. He knows how to get your best side and loves taking an alternative route to the more traditional snaps. He’ll be with us, too!</p><p>SHOULDA PUT A RING ON IT</p><p>Rare Jewellery Design from Castle Market have an array of stunning bling which ranges from beautifully simple designs to the most unusual bespoke pieces. Goldsmith Diane Butler and owner Denise O’Connor will be on hand to walk you through the process of designing your very own pieces and displaying samples of their wares.</p><p>MAN UP</p><p>Collar & Cuff is Dublin’s newest and finest destination for bespoke formalwear. They are joining the party too and will be showcasing their brand new exclusive ranges. For the grooms to be, the most deadly barbers in town will be with us for the day. Cut & Sew have been turning heads with their raw blade fades, cut throat fades and everything else in between. Masters of men’s styling and grooming, they’re going to be offering some styling advice and a haircut or two to some lucky gents in attendance! Sorted!</p><p>FROCK’N’ROLL</p><p>For the ladies, Dirty Fabulous is an original vintage boutique in the heart of Dublin which specialises in the most gorgeous and unusual bridal wear. They will have some incredible one-off dresses on display for your perusal! The seriously cool Tropical Popical Nail Bar, hair geniuses Locks & Lashes and make-up artist Niamh Martin will be hanging out and ready to answer all your questions and to talk through individual styling for your wedding. Those clever folks from Sole Sister Flats have some sweet ideas on how to keep your party comfortable – let ‘em show you!</p><p>EAR EAR</p><p>‘What about music?’ you cry! DJ Steve Reddy will be free to chat about your music requirements, all the while spinning tunes for your aural pleasure. Plus, we’re going to have the amazing 4 piece gospel a cappella band Larkfield Four in to do a few numbers. Ever heard an a capella version of Billy Idol’s White Wedding while someone strolls down the aisle? We have and it’s every bit as impressive as it sounds!</p><p>BEDS, BATHS AND BEYOND</p><p>Michael O’Connor, General Manager of The Clarence will be there to showcase some of the gorgeous rooms and suites in the hotel, as well as the infamous Penthouse, scene of many a wild night of rock’n’roll debauchery!</p><p>LOVEBOX WEDDING FESTIVAL takes place on Sunday February 23 at The Clarence Hotel, Wellington Quay, Dublin 2 from 1pm – 5pm. You can wander in and join the festival at your leisure but it would be advisable to pre-book an appointment, especially if you want a little time discussing the foodie side of your day with Oliver.
