Firstly stop beating yourself up we all know the sun rays are harmful, and yes you should have applied that factor 60 but we are where we are.

Aloe Vera

Apply directly

The easiest way to use aloe vera for sunburn is to apply the gel directly to the affected area. You can either use fresh aloe vera gel from the plant or purchase an aloe vera gel product from the store. Apply the gel generously to the sunburned area and let it dry. Reapply as needed.

Make an aloe vera spray:

Mix aloe vera gel with water in a spray bottle to make an aloe vera spray. This can be especially helpful for hard-to-reach areas, such as your back. Spray the mixture onto the sunburned area as needed.

Aloe vera ice cubes

Fill an ice cube tray with aloe vera gel and freeze. Rub the aloe vera ice cubes onto the sunburned area for a cooling and soothing effect.

Combine aloe vera with essential oils:

Mix aloe vera gel with a few drops of lavender or peppermint essential oil for added soothing and cooling benefits. Apply the mixture to the sunburned area as needed.

Aloe vera and cucumber mask:

Blend fresh aloe vera gel and cucumber slices in a blender or food processor to make a paste. Apply the mixture to your sunburned skin and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with cool water. The combination of aloe vera and cucumber can help soothe and cool the skin.

Marigold (Calendula)

Marigold cream

Apply a calendula cream or ointment to the sunburned area for a soothing effect. Calendula contains anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that can help reduce inflammation and promote healing.

Marigold tea

Steep dried calendula flowers in hot water to make a tea. Allow the tea to cool and then use a cotton ball to apply it to the sunburned area. The tea can help reduce inflammation and soothe the skin.

Mix calendula tea or tincture with aloe vera gel and water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto the sunburned area for a cooling and soothing effect.

Marigold and coconut oil balm

Mix calendula oil or tincture with coconut oil to make a healing balm. Apply the balm to the sunburned area for a moisturizing and soothing effect.

Marigold and oatmeal bath:

Add dried calendula flowers and colloidal oatmeal to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes to soothe and heal sunburned skin. Calendula can help reduce inflammation and oatmeal can help moisturize and soothe the skin.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal bath

Add 1 cup of colloidal oatmeal to a warm bath and soak in it for 20-30 minutes. The oatmeal will create a protective layer on your skin, reducing inflammation, and providing relief from sunburn.

Oatmeal and honey mask:

Mix 2 tablespoons of oatmeal with 1 tablespoon of honey and make a paste. Apply it to the sunburned area for 20 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Honey has antibacterial properties that can help prevent infection and promote healing.

Oatmeal and yogurt mask

Mix 2 tablespoons of oatmeal with 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt to make a paste. Apply it to the sunburned area for 15-20 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Yogurt contains lactic acid that can help exfoliate dead skin cells and promote healing.

Oatmeal and milk compress

Soak a cloth in a mixture of oatmeal and milk and apply it to the sunburned area for 15-20 minutes. Milk contains lactic acid that can help reduce redness and soothe the skin.

Oatmeal and chamomile tea compress:

Steep chamomile tea bags in hot water and mix with oatmeal to create a paste. Apply the paste to the sunburned area for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with cool water. Chamomile contains anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness and swelling.

Peppermint

Peppermint essential oil spray

Mix a few drops of peppermint essential oil with water in a spray bottle and spray onto the sunburned area for a cooling and soothing effect.

Peppermint and aloe vera gel

Mix a few drops of peppermint essential oil with aloe vera gel and apply it to the sunburned area for a cooling and healing effect.
