Data validation meeting for the Accra Metropolitan Health Directorate is held for the review of data every month. The primary goal of this exercise is to ensure the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the data collected from all health facilities within the metropolis, thereby supporting evidence-based decision-making for health service delivery. Completeness and Timeliness of health data reporting are two sides of the same coin of data quality. Without both, the data loses its value for decision-making, leading to compromised patient care, inefficient resource utilization, and hindered public health efforts. Investing in robust health information systems, staff training, and strong data governance frameworks are crucial to ensure high-quality data reporting.
