If searching for Purpose is such hard work, why should we do it at all? Empirical studies in psychology have unearthed a lot of benefits of living a life with a purpose.
Knowing and pursuing your purpose enhances well-being. Studies show that purpose is highly correlated with well-being. People with a high purpose enjoy greater life satisfaction. They tend to be more self-actualized, feel more positive emotions, and have greater self-esteem.
Having a purpose and knowing it consciously increases resilience. Researchers found that even when people with high purpose weren’t enjoying themselves, they still felt fulfilled. They look toward the future with more hope and optimism. Purpose can even help individuals cope with and grow from traumatic experiences.

Mo Maduro has experience across a variety of organizations from U.S. Army Captain and Army Ranger to selling to a global audience for his passion business of Motorcycle Sport Touring Travel. Born and raised in New York City in the neighborhood of Queens. He left the city to learn what the Army Special Forces knew and by age 24 was responsible for two million dollars of heavy construction equipment followed by leading an elite mobile nuclear bomb unit in the early eighties. Always interested in Entrepreneurship, I started my civilian career as an Insurance Agent but the pull of developing people pulled me back into leadership positions. After building several high-performing teams to deliver high-level essential national initiatives, I decided to chase my passion and started a business renting high-end motorcycles to people from all over the world. When the Pandemic hit in 2020, I learned firsthand why passion alone is not enough. Until then, purpose was always second because I like to play. Now I understand that pursuing your purpose creates the context and provides the resources so you can play as much as you like. Here's to Purpose and Passion and the agility to pivot between them.

We will start with a little warm up and talk about your Desires and Interests first. This forms an onramp to the full speed work of delving into your purpose and later converting the purpose into a way to serve mankind.
In the boxes below, answer the questions with the first thougths that come to your mind. Refinement comes later.
There is usually a link between interests, expertise, skills, and your purpose. Skills and Expertise are areas to look for clues about what you should be doing. It’s worth mentioning the distinction between what we can do on a bad day of a bad week. Humans have a cognitive bias (Planning Falacy) that results in overestimating what we can do in a short period of time. We also underestimate what we can do over a long period of time. Even when faced with and reminded that they came up short two weeks in a row and are now far behind, research subjects doubled down when projecting what they could do the following week. The ‘So What…' is to be realistic and fact based.
Answer below with the first thought that come to mind. Refinement comes later.
Activists are driven by a strong sense of justice and a desire to improve the world. They are motivated by moral obligation, hope, urgency, and solidarity. In addition, passion helps to fuel their pursuit and commitment to making a difference. I included Activism because while it doesn’t apply to everyone if you are an activist, it would be wise to consider that area of your life as you consider your purpose. The reason for exploring activism is included because people engage in Activism for free and in some cases pay dearly to do so literally and figuratively. There are clues here for the kind of potential impact that will keep you going forward when times are tough.
Passion is an emotion or feeling that inspires you to do something big.
Purpose is a goal or mission that you strive to achieve. Its important enough to enable you to make a quantum leap, to 10X your projections, to go through the deepest valleys and enjoy the journey.

It’s like unpeeling an onion…you are uncovering your core needs or desires.
