We hear 'voice'. Does this voice come from God, or the devil or ourselves?

These checklists give you a clear understanding how to differentiate the voice of God from the voice of the devil and the voice of our flesh.

We receive God's promise when we seek to hear and obey God's voice as in Proverbs 3:6-8 MSG "Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!"

Does it align with the word of God in the Bible?
Does it align with God's character in the Bible?
Does it remind you God's promise that leads to hope and trust in God's guidance, provision, and protection?

do you trust and follow God’s command and His ways by listening to this voice?
Does it lead you to deeper and pure devotion to Christ?
Does it lead you to truth, life, hope, and peace?

Does it convict you to align with the righteousness or be in right standing with God?
Does it affirm you of your identity as a child of God?
Does it convict you of your pride and humble you to reconcile with God and people?

Does it encourage you to keep on track even though it is difficult?
Does it comfort you when you cry out to Him?
Does it calm the storm in your life?

Does it empower you to do His will?
Is it patient?

Is it kind?
Is it gentle?
Is it loving?

Does it go against with the word of God in the Bible?
Does it challenge the God's character in the Bible?
Does it deceive you with partial truth? (Like the snake deceived Eve in the garden)

Does it challenge God's authority?

do you become distrust towards God or lose desire to follow God’s command and His ways by listening to this voice?
Does it lead you away from the devotion to Christ?
Does it lead you to false beliefs or lies?

Does it lead you to hopelessness, depression or despair?
Does it lead you confusion, or chaos?
Does it bring you fear, anxiety, and worries?

Does it reject you as a child of God?
Does it foster bitterness, offense, and un-forgiveness against God, yourself and others?

Does it intimidate you?
Does it challenge your authority in Christ?

Does it lead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry?
Does it lead to sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these?
Is it for the love of money?

Is it hostile to God?
Does it carry out the desires of the body and the mind and live in the passions of your flesh?
Does it lead to adultery?

Does it lead to covetousness?

Does it lead to pride?
Does it say: "There is no God?"
