Free VPN for iOS from Opera

Opera Software ASA, A Norwegian Software Company which is primarily known for its web browser Opera recently launched its Opera VPN app for its desktop browser. Now the company has brought Opera VPN 1.0 for iPhones and iPads.

This iOS App comes approx three weeks after Opera VPN app launched for a desktop browser.

About Opera VPN 1.0 APP

Opera VPN 1.0 iOS app is free to use with unlimited data and built-in ad blocking feature. The app is using SurfEasy VPN service. We would like to tell you that SurfEasy was acquired by Opera in March.

SurfEasy has its separate apps for iOS and Android, as well as desktop software, but its chargeable for a subscription after a trial period.

Using this app iOS user will be able to access geo-restricted content, bypass firewalls, ad-tracking cookies removal that follow you online. Let me tell you that all these features disabled by default and you need to activate them manually from setting menu.

This app allows its users to choose from five regions to show others that you are browsing from there. These five reasons are U.S., Canada, Singapore, Germany and The Netherlands.

Opera VPN app will not work on apps that shut off VPN access, such as Netflix. Currently, Opera VPN is not available on Android but expected to be available soon.

Opera VPN 1.0 is available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with iOS 8.0 or later.
