Step 1: The Rock Solid Hook

Creating An Organic Sales Funnel On Your Personal Profile That Brings In Your Ideal Members For You

1.1 - The Bio Pitch + Featured Photo

Think your ex is the only one creeping on your profile? Think again!

A lot of people creep on your profile on a daily basis. But if they don't find anything worth staying for - they click away.

So the first step to growing your group? Hook them in with a rock solid profile funnel!

Fist, your bio should ask your target reader if they want the big benefit you can offer - or otherwise command it. This compels them to keep reading.

Make sure to update your “About Me” section on FB to add a group link below the featured photo. AND your lead magnet if you have one.

Just throw a button to join your group on the thank you page and you're good to go!

Free traffic to both.

Another cool thing is, my conversion rate for this opt-in is over 80%. When people seek you out… they’re more inclined to jump right in!

1.2 - Catch The Timeline Creepers

You know what the biggest mistake is people make?

Being active or visible on Facebook without any bait posts pointing back to their group on their timeline.

Think about it, when people check out your profile, they WILL read a few timeline posts to see how you portray yourself online.

Not only that, but the newsfeed algorithm also serves new connections your most recent 1-3 posts (regardless of posting date / time) to see if they engage with your content. (views, likes, clicks, shares)

So if you're not making it count, you're losing quality group members & money.

If they do engage with it - they are more likely to be served your posts in their newsfeed. If they scroll past it, your chances of showing up again decrease. Basically - engagement snowballs and you have limited chances to impress new connections. So your content strategy is KEY anytime you post on your timeline.

We will be covering content types / strategy a little later, but for now - let's get your profile funnel in front of hundreds of ideal people. Sound good?

1.3 Brand It With Purpose

Hop into Canva or hire a designer on Fiver to create a profile cover photo that gives a quick pitch to your ideal member to join your group.

This just helps catch even more creepers. If all signs on your profile point to "join my group" they're less likely to get distracted and go somewhere else!

And make sure to add your group link on the photo, as well as on the description of the photo. You can even make a call to action to “click here to get ___” on the cover!

Make sure your group has a relevant, attractive cover while you're at it. The more congruent your entire Facebook "funnel" is, the better.

1.4 Add Hoses To The Pool

There are a couple of things wrong with online marketing in general.

1. People have terrible attention spans.

2. Nobody trusts you right now!

This is where the "rule of 7" comes into play. The rule of 7 states that it takes 7 interactions with an offer - give or take - before people take you up on it.

This could be a paid offer, like to purchase your product. OR it could be a free offer - like to join your group.

It takes this many times because people don't trust you and they're highly distracted online.

So basically, if you just have one hose filling your pool (like your profile funnel or a link on your lead magnet) - that hose has holes in it that I mentioned above.

So, I combat this by linking as many targeted things as possible back to my FB Group. I just put more hoses in the pool so it fills up faster!

Podcasts, emails, blog posts, guest appearances anywhere, thank you pages, and more.

Because once someone's in my general ecosystem, they're bound to see the "offer" again and join later, even if they didn't join the first time.

This also helps engagement, because sometimes people join groups and forget. So it puts a bug in their ear to remember they're a part of an awesome community and to check it out if they haven't seen it on their timeline lately.

So, what else can you link back to your group right now? Website? Blog posts? Emails? Podcasts?

You can also:

- Add banners to your website

- Add a "community" link to your menu bar on your site

- Make sure you have big "Join The ____ Community" buttons on your thank you pages for your freebies and paid offers.

- Add a Group Link to your email signature

- Instagram Bio

- YouTube video descriptions

- Podcast descriptions

- Anything else you can think of!

Go do it and you'll get an instant spike in member requests every time you use one of those other channels.

1.5 Stupid Simple Ask Method

A lot of times people are struggling to grow their groups and don't do the most simple possible thing you could do to grow.

Ask if people want to join your group!

Here's the template - go ahead and post this on your personal profile:

"Do you want to learn about (your topic)? If so, drop a comment below and I'll link you to my free group so you can (main benefit you help people achieve)!"

This type of post works well because when more people comment, the post is shown to more people, then more people comment, etc etc now you have free growth!

Simple enough, right? Give it a shot! Post it now.
