How soon can bloggers start to make money from their blog? One day? A few months? A year? It does sound like a pretty reasonable question and there are a few things to consider in order for that question to be answered. The results will definitely vary depending on who you ask, but instead of just sharing what I think, I went ahead and asked a few other bloggers this very question and you can find their answers below.
Before I share other bloggers’ perspectives, I’d like to share a few things you should take into consideration while trying to answer this question.
Knowledge and Experience in the Field of Blogging
Both knowledge and experience should be taken into consideration when you are thinking about the soonest you can make money from your blog. Being a good writer, knowing SEO, and having blogging experience all factor into this equation. A seasoned blogger on his fifth blog will make money before someone who is just starting out.
What is Your Niche?
The niche you are in can greatly determine how much you make with your blog. If your niche has anything to do with social media, SEO, blogging and things of that nature then you have less chance of making money from AdSense due to the fact that people in that field know what an ad looks like. On the other hand, if you have a blog where you mostly talk about staying in shape by only consuming organic products, I think it’s safe to say that it would be more profitable.
How Much Money do you Consider Money?
It might sound like a silly question, but if you think about it it’s a good question none the less. If you make $2.00 in a month from AdSense, you still made some money and in that sense you can make money from your blog as soon as day one, if you planned ahead of course. Since AdSense has a minimum payout of $100, and for the sake of this post, let’s say we should consider anything over $100 a month as making money.

How Soon Can Bloggers Start Making Money From Their Blog?
Now that we have gotten all that out the way; here is what other bloggers had to say when I asked them this million dollar question: -
Reginald Chan (ReginaldChan.Net)
When it comes to make money through blogging, you can basically do it within the first few months of starting up. You are usually busy adding content and looks in the first month while waiting for your site to get indexed by Google. Bloggers can make money faster simply by knowing the type of niche and target audience they are looking for. Always remember that making money through blogging is not just on ads but through affiliate sales too.
Tom Jamieson (TomJamieson.Com)
To be honest, I don’t think there is really a set time frame for reaching $100 per month. What you are looking for more than a time frame is the number of unique visitors and views your blog receives daily — ideally 250+ per day, or 7500+ per month. Therefore, you have to start by focusing on creating and producing high quality content and building relationships with other bloggers in your niche. You have to give before you can receive, so add value to their blogs by reading their posts and then leaving a thoughtful, insightful, and intelligent comment of at least 50-60 words. It takes time to be sure, so patience is the key. As the saying goes, the best things come to those who wait. If you are willing to put in the time and effort necessary — like posting regularly, writing high quality posts, responding to comments, being active on social media, etc. — then it is possible to reach 250/day (7500/month) in about 6-9 months.

David McSweeney (Top5SEO.Co.UK)
This is a very good question and in many ways it depends on how we’re defining income. Technically, you could put up a blog, stick on some AdSense ads and you might be lucky and make a few cents on your first day. If however we are talking about a consistent, tangible income (the good kind!) that means you can eventually quit your day job, then I suggest a different approach.
I firmly believe that the first 2-3 months of your blog should be all about building your audience and only once you have an engaged readership and a reasonable level of traffic (depends on the niche, but let’s say bare minimum 100-150 visitors a day) should you look at monetizing. With regards to your figure of $100 a month, assuming you have focused on creating great content and building trust in your readers, this should be very achievable after this period. And my number one way to monetize your blog – affiliate marketing!
Enstine Muki (EmFastIncome.Com)
This is a question I get a lot especially from starters. Frankly speaking, there is no specific period to start monetizing your blog. However, it depends on lots and lots of parameters. We know traffic is the main driver of all. Some bloggers take a longer time than others to build constant activities on their blogs.
Now, where you are coming from matters. If you have no background on the Internet, you may find everything new and confusing. You may not even have an idea what it means to monetize your blog. So you see you have to focus on building a consumable blog and community first. The money is not the first thing here.
For someone with a more solid social media background and online presence, it will be very different. I have seen blogs with less than 10 articles but with a lot of engagements. Personally, I was making money online before ever starting my very first blog. I had a membership site and was quite active on social media. So it was easier for me to introduce my new blog to my members and draw them (traffic) to it. Frankly, I started making money the very first week my blog went live.
Header
Finally, there are many ways to monetize your blog. This so much depends on your niche and strategies. If you have a product of your own, it will not be a bad thing to get it on your blog from the very first day. As a matter of fact, that’s one of the factors to boost your online presence.
So how soon to start trying to generate income will heavily depend on the blogger himself. The more effort he puts in to build an active blog, the sooner the blog gets empowered.
Qasim Alhammad (AliensMoney.Com)
A lot of bloggers ask the same question “when can we start making money from our blog?” and the answer to that question depends on many factors including your blog niche, traffic, monetizing method and how much money you are targeting; Some niche sites can generate money before others. One way to make the answer simpler is to calculate the amount of traffic you need to build to make your first x amount of dollars and Use the following traffic formula:
Traffic = (Your Target Amount) / (CTR* Cost Per Action) where Cost Per Action depends on your monetizing method and how much money you are making per action like Click or Selling a single product.
Example 1: Let us say that you are targeting 100$ per month and that you are using Google AdSense to monetize your blog, from your Google AdSense account you can find out the average Cost Per Click and your CTR, for the sake of this example we will use Cost Per Click 0.1 $ and CTR of 5%. Using the formula, your needed traffic will be = 100 / (0.05 * 0.1) = 20,000 Visits per month.
Example 2: Keeping your targeted figure at 100$ per month and that you are selling a book for $5 and your CTR at 1% then using the formula, your needed traffic will be = 100 / (5 * 0.01) = 2,000 Visits per month.
Header
Some other monetizing methods can’t be easily figured out and can’t use the same traffic formula like selling paid sponsored posts, but they all can be linked in one way or another to the traffic your blog receives; the more traffic your blog gains the more money you will be able to make.
Pulling it all Together
After asking 5 bloggers it’s safe to say that this question has been answered since for the most part everyone seems to be on the same page. How soon it takes for you to make money from your blog depends on your experience, the niche you are in, and the amount of traffic your blog receives.
If you continue to post content regularly, your blog can start generating an income within 6-9 months. That is just to give you a time frame, but what you really need to take in consideration is not the time, but the number of visits your blog is getting.
In the beginning you should not focus on making money. It is better to create a realistic goal on how much you would like to make by using the formula above, and then dedicate several months to simply writing great content and building relationships with other bloggers. If you were to use the formula provided by Qasim, it could give you an idea of the amount of traffic you would need to reach your goal. I will meet Tom and David in the middle and say you should continue to grow your blog by creating great content until you have reached around 200 daily visits.
It is important that you treat your blog as business if you are looking to make a real income from it, which means there is a number of things you should know before your start your blog. I agree with Reginald and Enstine that knowing your target audience and having a pre-planned blogging strategy will be the main determinant as to how soon you start to make money from your blog.
I would like to take this time out to thank the bloggers who contributed to this post. I wish you all success in all your ventures.

Today I will share a combination of free sites that you can use to work with one another in order to make money online. By setting up these free accounts and linking them together you will be able to create several streams of income for yourself. Keep in mind that some of these steps might require some education in order to know how it’s done. This method is easy only if you know what you are doing. I recommend taking your time and learning everything you will be using. You can read my “First and Most Important Step In Order to Make Money Online” if you haven’t already.
First thing that you would like to do is pick a niche that you know a lot about and that you can educate others on. For the sake of this article we will go with “hiking” for example. After you selected a niche put together some sort of plan, jot down some ideas, and write a few articles. If you are having trouble coming up with articles you can use my free content post as a resource.
ShareCash– ShareCash is a PPD(Pay Per Download) site where you can upload files and advertisers pay every time someone downloads your file. The consumer has to fill out a survey before their download becomes available; that’s how you end up getting paid.
Header
What you would like to do here is upload one or several educational ebook(s) related to your niche. You can either write one yourself or find some free ones. It doesn’t necessarily have to be ebooks, it can be anything you can think of but the most common thing are ebooks. I have dozens of ebooks uploaded in various different niches. To give you a real example on how it looks from the consumer’s point of view, I have uploaded 75 ebooks on how to make money online. Make sure you read ShareCash TOS before you upload anything. You can make a good bit of money here if used it properly so don’t ruin your chances by uploading material that goes against their TOS. You can check out “How to Make Money With ShareCash” to learn more.
Step Three: Write Several Hubpages
Hubpages- Hubpages is a platform that allows you to post articles. There are several ways that they pay you. For any published lens that you have written you are thrown into a Google Adsense pool and will be given a percentage depending on how popular your lens is. The other way is you can add related products to your lens from Amazon and Ebay just to name a few. When some one buys these products you will also receive a percentage.
What you would want to do here is write several articles/lenses related to your niche. Like any other article you write, it should be unique and informative as possible. Write more for the reader rather than SEO. Hubpages is ranked high so chances are that if your article is unique, informative, and in demand it will receive a lot of traffic not just from the search engines but also Hubpages users. Start off by writing 2 or 3 lenses and you can always come back and edit them at anytime. Also be sure to read TOS as well.
Header
Youtube- We all know what YouTube is so I won’t get into explaining it.
Even if you have an account with them, I suggest you create a new YouTube account based on your niche. For example: Let’s say your niche is “hiking”, so your username could be “RockyMountainHiker” and your email could be “rockymountainhiker@gmail.com” (This is just an example; I don’t know if it exists or not). This way you have some sort of authority and you look knowledgeable about the subject in addition to SEO purposes.
Once you have created your account you can start creating your own videos. The goal here is to create an educational/how to video in regards to your niche. Keep in mind that videos have to be unique and informative just like articles. Your videos don’t have to be anything special; you can record yourself giving advice, creating your own diagrams, charts, etc. and displaying them.
Making videos is another field study altogether. I will not go into it too much here instead here is a video that talks about the subject. This article here explains it well, I recommend reading it or other related articles, or watching related videos on the topic.
You should monetize your videos with Google Adsense in order to create an income here as well. Remember to read YouTube TOS! You should also dedicate a video for the ShareCash free ebook download. This also could possibly result in a conversion but do this after you have several how to videos.
Weebly- Weebly is a platform where you can host your site for free. It’s similar to a WordPress or a Blogspot blog in a sense of your sites url ending with “weebly.om”
Here you can make a quick and simple website in relation to your niche. You should have it contain your how-to YouTube videos, links to your Hubpages and most importantly your ShareCash ebook download. I suggest you make your URL in relation to your niche, for example: “HikingResources” or something of that nature; the url will read hikingresources.weebly.com. Remember that I do not know if this exists and that I’m using “hiking” as an example. Creating a Weebly website isn’t that hard but it does require some knowledge. Here is an article on How to Make a Weebly Website.
Header
Okay so here’s the fun part. After you have done the previous steps you would want to start linking everything together. Revise your Hubpages to where they contain links to your other lenses, your YouTube videos, and your Weebly website.
Make sure your YouTube videos have links in the description in relation to your Hubpages for further reading. Also be sure to include a link to your Weebly site.
As previously mentioned, your Weebly site needs to have your YouTube videos, links to your Hubpages, and most importantly all your ShareCash download links. The goal with this is to make your site as informative as possible. Once you have linked all your sites together you have successfully created a profitable link wheel where it will be directing traffic to one another and hopefully generating an income from ShareCash, Hubpages, and Google Adsense (YouTube).
Once you have successfully put together this method and created a link wheel you may start to promote it.
You can use Vagex and Enhance Views to give your videos some attention. These two sites can bring you some free views, likes, and comments to your Youtube videos and give it a head start. In addition, Vagex does have forum where you can get a hold of guides and tips on how to make additional money with Youtube. You can make money from Vagex as well.
You can get traffic from Facebook, Twitter, Google +, StumbleUpon, Pinterest. Etc. Which I do recommend having an account with each social network mentioned.
This method may take you a while and might require you to gain some additional knowledge depending on what stage you are on. I’ve tried to make this post as resourceful as possible in order to meet any needs you might have, however, if you happen to have any questions and need further assistance that’s what the comment section is for.
Header
Also keep in mind that it doesn’t have to stop here. You can always add more videos to your YouTube channel, write more lenses, upload more files to ShareCash, and do promote them further in order to increase your incomes.
You may even apply the same method for another niche altogether. Imagine having this method applied to several niches and what it could do for you.
It may take some time but if you are looking for a real scam free way to make money online this is just one of the methods that you can use.

Like everything else in order to be successful at something, it all starts with educating yourself. Don’t jump right into anything thinking that you’ll start making money right away. I’ve been at it for years now and I just started to make some money. My mistake was not knowing enough about what I needed to initially know. I will help you avoid this mistake and save you both time and money. You will have to dedicate some time to educating yourself. There will be things you will need to learn whether it’s simply navigating a site or how the internet works. Here I will share the main things you must learn in order to start making money online.
There are so many ways you can make money online and no matter what method you choose, the most important thing you will have to learn is SEO. Look at SEO being the language of the internet. It’s like being in a foreign country! If you don’t speak the language, can’t read, and don’t understand SEO, then how do you expect to get around? No matter what method you choose to make money online, you will need to implement SEO to it. Some methods require more than others, but knowing SEO is a necessity in order to make money online. You can start with The Beginners Guide to SEO and, after reading all 10 chapters, then you should be good to go! I suggest that you take notes and write down any ideas you might have on how you can implement it to your next venture (along with any questions you might have so that you may Google them later).
Header
Once you become fairly knowledgeable about SEO and the different sites and platforms that you will be using, you can start looking for ways to make money. Let’s say you are interested in making money with blogs, for example. Whether you choose WordPress, Blogger, or any other blogging site, you would want to get familiar with the dashboard. I suggest you do some further research for that particular method, like… “How to make an effective blog,” “How to make money with your blog,” and “How to start off your blog right.” Remember to take it step by step. Don’t bother with Googling “How to get traffic to your blog,” just yet unless you already have one.
You will be doing a lot of research throughout your journey, but educating yourself beforehand will get you on the right path. After you have acquired some knowledge, you may even do some gigs for people if you need to make some extra money. You can read up on my “How to Make Money Offline Using Online Resources” post to see how you can make a quick buck along with a possible residual income.
Remember that the first step to any successful business is educating yourself. By doing what’s suggested in this article, it should give a good start in increasing the chances of your actually succeeding where many others have failed.
Header
With so many sites out there how would you know which ones to join? Well in this post I will share step one of my money making guide. This guide should generate a real passive income for you in a few months. Not what you want to hear? Well I’m just being honest, I don’t think you can make money fast on the internet unless you do some gigs for people or sell stuff. Generating a passive income takes time but once the ball starts rolling it keeps rolling if all the work you did stays on the internet.
First things to do is to find a niche, create a different email account and username, and join a list of free sites in order to make money online. In my later guides I will show you how to combine these sites in order to create several different income streams.
The very first thing to do is to find a niche or niches and conduct some research. I have written a blog post for you where you can find a niche list. After you have found a niche or niches you should conduct some keyword research based on the niche/niches you chose.
*If you are unfamiliar with the term “niche” look at it as a specific category or a sub category. A point of interest so to speak.*
Also if you are unfamiliar with keyword research here is an article that breaks it down for you: Keyword Research: Discover a Profitable Niche for a New Website.
The email address you create will be used to join different sites and be treated as a spam address. I don’t want your main address to be flooded with junk. Not only that but the email address you create will be based on the niche you chose and the keywords you found.
Example: If your niche is hiking and the keyword hiking in the Rocky Mountains then your email and username could be rockymountainhiker.
Header
The purpose for this is partly SEO reasons but also people will see this email and you will seem more credible. Makes sense?
The third step is to join the following sites. These are all free to join and can provide you with a passive income but keep in mind that just signing up won’t bring you money. You will have to do something with them.
1. Blog– Create a blog based on the niche you chose. You can join WordPress or Blogger.
2. Squidoo– Create a free Squidoo or Hubpages account using the new email address and username created.
3. Sharecash– Create a free Sharecash account. DO NOT use the account you created here. Niches are meant to be kept secret. Don’t use it here just in case you decide to visit their forum, which I do think you should visit them since you can learn a lot there. Also check out my post “How To Make Money with Sharecash” to learn how.
4. Zazzle– Create a free Zazzle account using the new username and email address.
5. Cafepress– Create a free Cafepress account using the new username and email.
6. Vagex– Create a free Vagex account. DO NOT use your niche based email and user name since they have a forum here too.
7. Adsense– Create a free Google Adsense account. Do this first since it may take a few days to be approved. You must have a gmail account to do this I believe.
8. Adf.ly– Create a free Adf.ly account.
1. Take a look at my niche list, find something you are interested in and conduct some keyword research.
2. Create a user name and email address based on the niche you’ve selected and the keywords you have found.
3. Join the sites provided.
After you have done the things mentioned in this post you can go to my “Money Making Guide- Creating a Link Wheel” post. In this guide I will show you how to combine some of these and have them work with one another that will create you several passive income streams.

About Bernard read my personal story
Hey guys, welcome to step two to my Money Making Guide. Remember when I mentioned in step one, my “8 Sites to Join” post that I would show you how to combine different sites together? Well here I will share a list of sites where you can submit your articles (or the content that you have written) and show you how to create an effective link wheel that will generate several different incomes.
Generally a link wheel is used to bring traffic to and from different sites but you can also create an income if the content is posted in select places. The idea of a link wheel is pretty simple and straight forward. It’s made up of links that lead to specific web pages. You can take this blog post as an example to get an idea. It contains links that lead to my other blog posts and I bet you that they will contain links as well. I’ve decided to make an internal link wheel on my blog so that way all my blog posts could have a chance to be read. You might have been creating link wheels and didn’t even know it. Okay so now that we got the brief explanation out the way. I will tell you how you can make a link wheel that will generate an income for you.
Header
Rewrite your best blog post as many times as possible. You can even gather all the articles that are related to one another and use those. For this to work out well you will need to have several identical or related articles based on one niche. You can visit my niche list in order to be provided with some ideas if need be.
The more articles you have the more streams of income you could have by posting new articles to the preferably same sites. You can also visit my “How To Get Free Content for Your Blog Or Website” post if you don’t have enough time to do all that writing. It’s important to be time efficient here, so work with what you got at first. Post what you can, rewrite and add on later. Once you have your several articles lined up you can submit each one to any one of the article sites that I’m providing you with.
Make sure that somewhere within each article there is a link to another article you have written, possibly in a related links section or somewhere within the article itself. Keep in mind that you are writing for the reader and it must make sense. You can use this blog post as an example. I know my writing skills aren’t that great so if I can do it so can you.
Now I will provide you guys with a list of Article sites that will pay you for having your content on their site. I suggest that you do not join them all, 3 or 4 will do. Reason being when you write new articles you can make a bit more money and also a name for yourself if you have several articles posted on one site. Plus, having several articles on one site increases your chances to reach their minimum payout quicker.
Anyway guys, here’s the list:-
HubPages
RedGage– You can actually import your entire blog here. You can start making money right away.
InfoBarrel
Bright Hub
Demand Studios
Triond
Snipsly
Header
Here are just a few, or at least the ones I know of. Some of these do contain my referral link which means you can also get paid through referring people.
Gather all your written/rewritten and related articles based on a single or related niche and submit it to these or other article sites. Make sure you link them to one another within the article or in the “related links section”.
If this is executed based on keyword research you should create a small passive income within a few months. Remember, the more articles the better. Anytime you write an article you can always repeat this process.
Well that’s it for now. Feel free to share your own thoughts on the subject in the comment section.

Wouldn’t it be nice to turn your hobbies into successful businesses and make money online? There are a lot of people that doubt this as a possibility even in 2013, but I assure you that it is possible. Luckily for you, you have stumbled upon this post where I will show you how you can create a successful niche based business. The benefit of all of this is that as long as your business revolves around your hobby it won’t feel like work, and there is a lot of that needed in order to making money online.
Another thing you should be aware of is that this is all a learning experience and there may be things that will require further education but if you are serious about it then you might just see the beautiful side of the internet world, the profit side. Also keep in mind that the main thing that is needed in order to make money online is content, content, content. If writing is another one of your hobbies then you are even deeper in luck. When I say writing I’m not just referring to blogging, which is a part of it. There are other things you will need content for but we will get to that in just a minute. If you don’t enjoy writing then it may be a little tougher but there are alternatives to that as well which we will also discuss shortly.

List of 100+ Niches and a Method on How to Pick One
What you would want to do I just jot them down for now. For the sake of this post, let’s say you enjoy out door activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, things of that nature. Get it nature? Okay never mind. Anyway, it is good that all these are closely related but I would go as far as selecting a sub-category. Perhaps hiking, something that you would enjoy the most out of the bunch.
So from here on out we are going to use hiking as an example.
It doesn’t matter what name you choose to go with as long as it has something to do with hiking, since hiking would be your niche and your keyword, more on that later. But you can choose your username to be something like “Mike the Hiker” “Hiker Mike” whatever floats your boat. What I suggest is that you think it through so you don’t change it later ’cause this is where the branding comes in. Whatever the case it should revolve around hiking.
Here are 2 articles you can read up on to get an idea on how you should brand yourself.
The New Rules of Branding Your Business Online
Mastering branding online takes a lot more than a cool logo and catchy slogan. Experts play by a fresh new set of rules.
7 Fresh Ideas on How to Brand Your Business
In a perfect world, Hiker Mike obviously enjoys hiking along with writing, photography, Photoshop aka graphic design, along with other things that he can do to build his business. Since the odds of that are low, networking or hiring will have to come into play, but let’s not worry about that now.
Header
The very first thing that Hiker Mike needs to do is educate himself, thinking of a goal, and setting up a business plan. I have written a post on the things you should do before you launch your blog but I think it still would be good reading material if applied to other things since it’s a resource page. See what you can gather from it.
What You Need to Know Before You Start Your Blog – Resource List
After a few days of research Mike has gathered some new information, taken some notes, and had a general idea of what needs to be done. He now understands the importance of writing great unique content and how it holds the internet together. He has even taken the initiative and clicked that link just to learn how to write good content and has written several tutorials. Enough about Mike for now.
The next step you should do is write several tutorials or “how tos” in relation to hiking, by several I actually mean more than 10, 700+ words professional articles. In addition to written tutorials, you should create video tutorials as well. Keep in mind that both written and recorded content have to be good and unique in one way or another. If it sucks, then you just waste your time. Trust me, I know… If I did it right the first time, I would not be rewriting this article now; instead I would be writing new ones. “But Bernard, that’s a lot of work!” Well I never said it wouldn’t be; in fact If I recall I did say there would be a lot of it. Hiker Mike isn’t complaining, ’cause he knows all the good things that will happen.
Anyway, Back to Mike. See he went and wrote and recorded several tutorials and how tos in relation to hiking. He wrote How to Start a Camp Fire With Your Bare Hands, How to Grow Marshmallows. Mike sure knows more about hiking than I can give examples for. He went and not only wrote tutorials but other types of “expert in the field” type articles about sleeping bags, tents, RV’s, marshmallows., Rocky Mountains, Rocky Baboa… Okay maybe not him.
Header
Before this next step, please be aware that the more content you have whether they are written or videos the better. After you have all your content ready you should start your journey by creating a blog and a YouTube channel. Not to mention the social networks. For right now that’s all you need to start making money but you should always try to expand.
Another way you can generate both an Income and traffic is Hubpages. This is the reason I said you should have a lot of content ready. Because at least one article should be going to this site. This will not only create a back link but also put you in a position to have an income from this site.
Let’s talk about numbers and a scheduled approach. Let’s say you have got a hold of 20 articles, whether you have written them or not, and 10 YouTube video tutorials.
After your blog is set up professionally, by that I mean it’s SEO optimized and user friendly. You should publish between 5-10 posts right away. No more than how many can fit on the first page. Let’s say you post six posts right away. Schedule four of them to post once a week and post one to Hubpages for now. Now you have eight posts left. What you should do now is go look for blogs you can post guest posts on in relation to your niche. Don’t give out more than 3 because you do want to save some for rainy days.
The numbers don’t have to be exact. The point here is to strategize and be prepared. By doing this you should already see some traffic. And a tiny income for starters.
AdSense: AdSense Revenue can come from your blog, YouTube and Hubpages. If you have great content on all 3 then rest assure that you will generate an income. But be aware that how much you generate from AdSense varies from niche to niche.
Affiliate: If you don’t have any products of your own you can sell affiliate products in relation to your niche. Hiker Mike might want to sell hiking related equipment. He can sell these on his blog and YouTube.

Offer Classes: You can also offer classes in relation to your niche. That’s if you are really good at your hobby. If your hobby is diving for example, offer diving classes. If you were to get to a level where people all over the world come to you based on the work you did online can you imagine the success of your business?
3rd Party Products: This might not work for Hiker Mike but if you are a graphic designer you can create t-shirts, mugs, etc. through Zazzle and CafePress. How well this works depends on your hobby, or niche. The products can also sell if you come up with neat ideas on what type of products to design.
Create Your Own Product: You can either write an eBook, physical book, or as for Hiker Mike, he can make his own sleeping bag line.
PPD (Paid Per Download): The best PPD site out there by far is ShareCash. The way it works is you put up something to download and share it. When someone wants to download the file they have to fill out a survey first. You would think that most people don’t like surveys but what if there is a survey on there that has your target audience in mind? There might be a survey about hiking goods and Hiker Mike can simply state “Fill out the Hiking survey, they are a sponsor” Mike would be telling the truth. It’s a legit way to get paid. A lot of people have a hard time making money from this since they can’t seem to find a niche. But if it works well with your hobby you can create a passive income. Programmers can upload lines of code, while people that play video games can upload cheats and tricks. It’s not that hard when you know what you are doing.
Writing: As previously mentioned, content would be the centerpiece of your income online. Even if you don’t like to write you will have to find a way to have content. You can hire a writer or network with someone. Give someone a percentage of your income of your blog and have them write. Just provide them with key points to make. You can even offer guest posts. Not to mention, you don’t have to have all the content go to your blog. You can even post it on Hubpages. I know I have mentioned this several times already, but the reason why is they pay you. Hubpages pay through AdSense while on Squidoo you can place 3rd party products and once they sell you get a cut.

Now imagine that Hiker Mike has a blog with great “how to” articles that offer advice and teach readers about hiking. His blog contains AdSense ads and/or affiliate links to hiking related merchandise such as hiking equipment amongst other things. So that means that his blog generates revenue from AdSense and affiliate links. He also generates AdSense clicks on his YouTube videos. Hubpages pay him. He has his eBook up for download on ShareCash, offering classes. I guess it’s safe to say that he has a passive income only by doing and talking about the thing he loves. Hiker Mike has went and created an online business from his hobby.
Don’t you love happy endings? Do you believe me now when I tell you that it’s possible to make money from your hobby? There are so many legit ways to make money; it’s all about knowing what method can be the most beneficial for you. And if you were to leave a comment below telling me your hobby, I would have no problem giving you some advice making suggestions.
